The MLB is put up with a total of fifteen games for Saturday night. One of those matchups on the plank will be involving the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets. These two NL East rivals are to make playoff pushes night this season, which should help lead. This game will begin at around 7:10 PM Eastern time on August 24.
The Braves have set a record of 78-52 for this point in the season, which has them sitting in place of their NL East. Atlanta has won six matches in a row that will help them expand their lead. The Braves will try and place their seventh victory.
New York is now sitting with a list of 67-61 so much this season. Last night, the Mets took a tough loss, however they had won five in a row along with also fourteen of the last eighteen games. New York is behind in the wild card race, but they might sneak in the postseason, when they maintain up this strong end.
These two teams have a lot on the line in this show as their drive tries and further into the playoffs. Atlanta is a lot more familiar with their own positioning, although the Mets are currently attempting to create ground in the wild card race. This show started out last night and I anticipate another powerful matchup on Saturday.
The Braves and the Mets have met in four series earlier this latest one. 2-2 between the two teams was split. The Braves hosted the next show as well, and they also took it 2-1. The next series changed to New York, and Atlanta found a way to pull off a 2-1 triumph in that show. The series stayed in New York and once again that the Braves took the series 2-1.
Last night’s matchup has been a good one. The Braves got the run in the first with an RBI single. Jacob deGrom responded in the bottom of the sixth with a solo homer. The game took extra innings, but an RBI single by Billy Hamilton gave Atlanta the 2-1 win.
Both of these teams have played this season, however, the Braves hold a 9-5 record on the season from New York. Last night’s game required 14 innings to finish up, which might result in some exhaustion late at Saturday night’s game. I believe that the Mets can come out strong though to bounce back with a win to get their home lovers.
The Braves have observed some strong hitting during this year. Atlanta has been led by Ronald Acuna Jr. who has set up 155 strikes, 36 home runs and 88 RBI’s on the season. Freddie Freeman has had a terrific season as well, earning 151 hits, 34 homers, 104 RBI’s along with an OPS of .970. Ozzie Albies includes 149 strikes, 18 home runs and 68 RBI’s, while Josh Donaldson has 118 strikes, 29 homers and 73 RBI’s.
Amed Rosario has 12 home runs, 140 hits and 54 RBI’s this season for New York. Pete Alonso has been directing this team with 123 hits, 40 home runs, 97 RBI’s and an OPS of all .967. Michael Conforto continues to be a solid year, setting up 110 hits, 27 homers and 76 RBI’s. Wilson Ramos, J.D. Davis, along with Todd Frazier all have over 80 hits and 10 home runs on the year also.
Atlanta has been struck hard with all the injury bug in the season since they are currently overlooking Ender Inciarte, Dansby Swanson, Brian McCann, Nick Markakis along with Austin Riley. The Mets are with no Robinson Cano Jeff McNeil, and Dominic Smith. In spite of the injuries both teams have.
Max Fried will Find the start on Saturday. Fried has had a solid season, setting up a record of 14-4 through 26 games and 24 begins. He has an ERA of 3.84 and a WHIP of all 1.401 in those games. Fried start came from the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he allowed three runs and eight hits .
Zack Wheeler has had a solid season and he will get the start. Wheeler includes a 9-7 record through 24 starts this year. He’s got an ERA of 4.40 and a WHIP of both 1.266 through these beginning. Wheeler allowed four hits and four runs, three earned in his last start against the Kansas City Royals.
Fried has been hot in his prior performances as he has got a win in five of his past six starts. Whenever they wish to pull another win against the Mets, the Braves will require another strong performance. Wheeler has had a solid season and will look to avoid his third loss of the season against Atlanta.
I enjoy the Mets chance to bounce back with a win on Saturday, although the Braves have improved that the better team in their season series against New York this season. Max Fried has been playing great as of late, however I feel the Mets could give him some trouble early and he is because of a start. New York will look to make the most of those holes at Atlanta lineup to make a big win to tie this up series at home.
BetOnline has got the Mets. I feel that this is a good lineup as it provides a small edge to this hometown Mets, however, keeps it to even. As a favorite in this game, I think there’s a lot of value on New York. The Mets will search for the lovers to help fuel them beyond the fatigue to make a win.
