Wales have suffered an injury scare just weeks following Rhys Patchell was compelled off through the Test match.
After colliding with CJ Stander the 26-year-old fly-half abandoned the pitch at the Aviva Stadium for a evaluation during the first half.
He was replaced by Dan Biggar and didn’t come back to the game.
Patchell has endured an injury-hit campaign, suffering concussion and hamstring issues, and has been making his first Test start in.
The Scarlets player just secured his place at Wales’ World Cup squad to Ireland in Cardiff.
Warren Gatland is already without first-choice fly-half Gareth Anscombe, who sustained a knee injury throughout Wales’ World Cup warm-up game against England last month and will miss the championship in Japan.
Wales start their World Cup campaign against Georgia on September 23.
