After checking out the NFL odds board, I noticed that the line with this match had tumbled from Patriots -3 to where it currently stands, in the Friday morning writing, to Patriots -1. We all know how crucial the number three is at soccer and anytime the number moves off of it, I get suspicious, especially in preseason playwith. The Pats ruined the Lions 31-3 final week in their preseason opener and it would not surprise me one little bit to see Belichick tinker with the game program to see how his troops perform under unique circumstances. There is nothing the training legend loves over a hybridvehicle, a player who is called upon to execute different jobs and assume unique roles. This match smacks of the perfect period for New England to start experimenting which means backing a group like the Titans within our NFL selections is the wise move . Catch the small number.

Betting preseason soccer is obviously a bit of a roll of the dice however there are a couple of trends we can sniff out which will give us a lean one way or the other. Perhaps chief among these are the training records which may indicate how important a head coach views losses and wins in the exhibition period. Look no further than Detroit’s Matt Patricia who possesses a 1-4 preseason listing versus Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien who appears to place great import on Week 2 of the preseason background using a 4-1 mark in these contests. Furthermore, Detroit will have to rely upon former San Jose State, and also sixth-round select of this 2014 draft, David Fales and recently signed journeyman Josh Johnson to lead the assault with No. 1 backup Tom Savage on the sidelines courtesy of a possible concussion suffered in last week’s loss to New England. This does not work well for Detroit and consequently we’ll put our dough onto the Texans.

Both of these clubs neglected to find the endzone last week as Dallas dropped 17-9 into the 49ers while the Rams fell 14-3 into the Raiders. But once more, something smells a bit fishy in this as the Rams opened as three-point home favorites but today the Cowboys are ranging from two to two 1/2 point road chalk. The big names on either side won’t see much if any action within this meaningless preseason tilt but that I wouldn’t be surprised to observe the Cowboys emerging victorious, or at least covering the number in what is shaping up to be a close contest. The Rams are 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games and the Cowboys are looking to put emphasis on their running attack today that it appears as though Ezekiel Elliot is intent on pulling a Le’Veon Bell this year and sit out until he gets what he wants. This resembles a ground-and-pound matchup and because Dallas needs to be aware of what they have in the backfield, expect them to use their major backs more than the Rams. Todd Gurley will not observe the field and that is good news for the Boys.
