Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has picked up a groin injury while on international duty with Argentina, but also played down the severity of the blow.
The 23-year-old was pulled after 53 minutes and seems likely to overlook their match Mexico on Wednesday.
Argentina’s official twitter account afterward affirmed he had”suffered a blow” into his left forearm.
But, Lo Celso told colleagues:”My problem was only a blowoff. It’s not something to worry about.
“We risked a bit more. We had a good deal of chances to convert but it wasn’t to be”
Lo Celso arrived at Tottenham on loan from Real Betis on Deadline Day, together with the obligation to buy summer, however, is nevertheless to get up to pace with his Spurs team-mates.
The midfielder has made three substitute appearances at the Premier League but is nevertheless to begin a match for the Champions League runners-up.
Fellow summer transfer window acquisitions Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon are currently sidelined with injuries.
